When Mackenzie emailed me and said it was her turn, I was so happy!  I met Mackenzie a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid in two of my weddings.  I could tell from those two weddings that she was an amazing person, an incredible friend, and one BA dancer – she wore spandex shorts under her dress and did the worm in a circle of hundreds of people!  I knew I loved her then!

I also knew that the boy she was marrying had to be something special and I got to meet Josh when we did their engagement session last fall in Red Lodge. He sure held up to my expectations!  Funny, smart, and totally googley eyed over Mackenzie.

I couldn’t be more happy for them and I am so excited for their day!  Maybe, just maybe, the bride will bust out the worm on her wedding day!

These two crazy kids met when they both attended Central High School.  He was a football player and she was a cheerleader.  They didn’t start dating until after high school.  They both hold their alma mater close to their hearts as well as kids and both have returned to Central to coach cheerleading and football.  Colter proposed in front of friends in downtown Billings with a gorgeous ring and that golden smile (there’s no way she could have turned that down!).  Our engagement session was made up of lots of trespassing (opps!) and even getting kicked off some property!  Carly + Colter didn’t even hesitate when I asked them to go against their Catholic morals, it was all for the good of their engagement pictures:).  If their wedding is anything like their engagement session, I am in for a good time!  Super excited for your spring wedding you two!

Sydney + Chris have been together since they met in college almost 6 years ago.  Both originally from Billings, they met on the campus of MSUB.  Chris thought of everything when he asked Sydney to marry him.  He planned a hike up to Glacier Lake near Red Lodge, MT with friends so that not only could they celebrate with them, but also so they could capture the moment on camera.  Something they will always treasure!  They are getting married at Chico Hot Springs, in Pray, MT this spring.  Sydney has done a tremendous amount of planning and her style is so beautiful.  Everytime I receive mail from her, I get so excited!  Her save the dates were amazing and I just received her invitation the other week.  So simple, creative, and elegant.  I can’t wait for what they have in store for the wedding!

For their engagement session we traveled to Sydney’s parents’ ranch.  It was a photographer’s dream, with ponds, docks, old barns, and toys:).  We thought we had finished the session and then Sydney and Chris suggested that we drive up to the top of this plateau on four wheelers.  So at the mercy of Chris’s driving skills, my camera and I made it up the steep hill.  I laughed as I watched Sydney on her own four wheeler behind us, riding through the rough terrain in her pretty, white dress.  She looked like such a BA!  We got to the top just as the sunset approached and you could see the Beartooths Mountain Range on one side and on the other the Pryors.  It was the perfect end to an amazing day with these two!

It was their senior year of high school and these two just happened to meet through a mutual friend.  High School Sweethearts and they have been together ever since.  After sitting down with them at my studio I just knew that they were both head over heels in love with each other and one of the cutest couples I had ever met.  Zach just loves her so much and even their engagement story shows just how loving and caring he is for Gabby and her family.  Gabby’s Grandfather had passed away and so last Easter Zach knew it would be the perfect time to purpose because it was very important to have her Grandma present at their engagement, as well as her entire family, and his family.  Of course Gabby said yes and they will be married this summer at the Quaking Aspen Ranch in Absorakee, MT.  The owners are amazing and allowed us to take their engagement pictures on the property last summer.  It is a beautiful venue and I am so excited for these two and to be a part of their special day.  Their engagement session included lots of laughs, smitten giggles, wide open space, and of course, one of their favorite things to do together : fly fishing!  Such a cute Montana couple!
