This family holds a special place in my heart, I love them dearly and am always so happy when I get to take their pictures for them.  Broc is doing so well and continues to amaze everyone.  If you remember, he was the little boy born at 23 weeks.  Now he is 2 1/2!  He is such a happy little guy and so fun to be around.  Here are a few pictures from our session last fall.

Hey everyone!  I haven’t been able to blog since August if that gives you an indication of how busy I have been (prepare yourself, that means I will be blogging like a mad women soon, trying to catch up).  This past year of business has been wonderful AND overwhelming at times.  After much deliberation, I knew it was time for a change.  So I decided to take the plunge and open up my own studio, hire an assistant, and go for it!  What does this mean for my business?  It means that I have my very own office that is clean and fully supplied with all the pens my little heart desires (love my kids, but they would steal every single pen I had at my home office… it’s the little things :)), a space to shoot, a space to meet with my clients, and a space to work with the best assistant in the world :).  Also I can finally breathe, I won’t lose any more sleep wondering how I will get everything done!  It also means that having my assistant help me will free up my time to shoot more.  My passion will always be weddings, but now with my space and extra time I will be taking on other types of sessions too.  So don’t be afraid to ask.  We moved in the beginning of this month, set up shop (lots of antiquing and furniture shopping, YAY!) and this past weekend I had my first family shoot in the studio.  It was a lot of fun and I look forward to the other sessions we have coming up :  maternity, newborns, and boudoir (ooooo, la, la! – perfect Valentine’s gift).  So if you are looking to book please contact me at mirandamurdockphotography.com/698.7152 or Allison at amkazmierski@gmail.com/671.4661.

So are you asking, “Who the heck is Allison?”.  Well, how do I sum up Allison?  Allison Kazmierski is funny, kindhearted, a free spirit, and an amazing dancer, and talented photographer + graphic artist (she also has her own business).  Allison usually second shoots my weddings with me when she can and last year she also designed my new logo.  She has been such a help and huge blessing to me and I am soooo excited and happy to have her on board.  You all need to check out here work here too : http://www.krop.com/amclean/#/.

Here she is doing her bestest to help tame some bridesmaids dresses, as you can see here, always a joy to work with!

And throwback to our trip to California this passed summer shooting a wedding:
