If you remember, I photographed Judi & Scotts wedding this summer.  Judi is such a sweetheart and Scott is funny and full of it.  I don’t know how she puts up with him ;).  When Judi and Scott got married, Judi was 5 months pregnant with McCrae.  At the time no one knew the sex of the baby and Judi announced at the wedding that they were having a boy.  Everyone was soooo excited.  Well McCrae got here in November.  He is so adorable and thank goodness he looks nothing like his daddy ;).  He was all decked out in his Griz gear & fishing gear during our session and he also wore the onesie that Scott used to propose to Judi.  I am so glad I was able to photograph their wedding and their little guy.  I just love this little family(minus Scott) :).

Judi announcing that they were having a boy. I love her daughter’s reaction in the backround:)

Lu Anne & Dan are just the cutest couple.  I had so much fun with them during our session.  I just love engagement sessions because I get to see how they interact with each other and learn more about them.  I could tell right off the bat that this couple really enjoys being together.  They love hiking, the outdoors, and their adorable dog Sylvan(named after lake Sylvan).  I also learned that Dan isn’t afraid of danger.  While we were downtown in the middle of our session we witnessed an SUV drive onto the sidewalk, hit and completely break a tree in half, and finally stop when it hit the side of a brick building.  Lu Anne and I called 911 as Dan rushed over to the vehicle to help the driver and passengers.  Lu Anne and I, another photographer and her clients, and some people that stopped to help witnessed 5 people get out of the vehicle and run away!  Dan told them they couldn’t leave, but they said they were fine and took off.  Dan was helping the driver from the car and as soon as he got her out she took off too!  So what does Dan do, he chases after them on foot!  When the police got there they found and arrested 3 of the people that fled and hopefully they were able to find the other 3.  One of the officers took Dan’s statement and they we were back to finishing their engagement session!  It was pretty crazy!  At least I know that Dan is fearless and will do a good job of always protecting Lu Anne.  It was a fun and exhilarating session to say the least!  I can’t wait for their wedding in early January, it is going to be beautiful and so much fun!

The scene of the crime.

The Bakers are a fun bunch, especially Josh.  He just loved giving me a hard time.  In fact, at one point during the session, he turned to his wife Michelle and said, “I knew we should have just gone to Sears.”.  Oh, I was dying laughing!  Little Madison was just 5 weeks old and we tried so hard to get her to stay sleeping so I could position her and get some good pictures, but she just wasn’t having it.  But, she did like to be held by her mommy, daddy, and big sister.  So we did get some nice family pictures.  I can’t wait to see her in a few months and maybe her and her dad will cooperate this time ;).

I love being invited out to client’s homes to take their pictures.  I love seeing people in their own environment and it is always refreshing to be in a new place.  Mitch, Jenny, Luke, Addy & all of their animals were so much fun to photograph.   I loved spending the morning with them.  Families and children are fun to photograph because you just never know what you will get.  I love catching those “real” moments and the sweet expressions on sweet little faces, whether it be pouty, smiley, or lovey.
